Yelena Harunovich

Yelena was born and raised in Brest, Belarus, and came to the United States as a teenager along with her parents and a younger brother. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Economics in 2008. Yelena has also earned certificates in international relations and public policy and administration. At the same time, she completed her studies at a real estate school, but decided to focus on family and hold off the pursuit of a career in real estate. However, Yelena continued working and volunteering as an interpreter and translator for the Slavic community first in Massachusetts, then in North Carolina, and finally in Virginia.

Yelena and her family have settled in the Harrisonburg area in 2010, and they have called Virginia their home since then. Yelena and her husband are raising their four beautiful daughters together, and they all enjoy small town living just outside Harrisonburg. She is actively involved in her church and homeschool community, and she is passionate about ministering to people from different walks of life.
